Honestly, there are some people you just can not please. 20100322 I used to buy jelly beans, I loved the clear ones, now they dont have clear ones, the closest is white ones, so now I dont buy jelly beans anymore. Many years ago I like going to the movies, I loved the pre-film before the main movie, they were great, some were better than others, but that was the pick of the draw, if I picked out a dud movie that pre-film made up for it. In fact it was worth going to any movie even if you thought it was going to be a dud because you knew you were still going to get entertained. Now they dont have pre-films anymore, so now I dont go the movies. I used to go to shops that did fly-buys, then the phone company went on the scheme but there was a catch, you had to use services that was more than a minimum monthly phone rental, so now I dont go to shops that do fly-buys, I would rather walk across the other side of the town to go to a shop that do not do fly-buys. Auckland bus drivers dont seem to be very well trained, overcharging on bus fares with no refund available in the system, sometimes they can even take you places you never asked to go. Because of this over the years I must of walked thousands of kilometers, and the bus companies have missed out on thousands of dollars of lost bus fares. I took out a advertisement with the newspaper, I went to their office, paid it with cash and got my receipt about $78, within a few weeks got a account in the mail for the advertisement I had already paid, I rang them from home many times and found their accounts department was never open “after hours”, I go to work to work not to spend all my break time on the phone chasing people that like wasting my time on accounts I have already paid. So I ignored it thinking maybe just a accounting hick-up, about six month later got a letter from a debt collector threatening to savage my credit rating, I was not impressed and I did not threat this as a joke and it cost me another $10 finishing that off as I went down to the local Internet shop to get the receipt scanned to a electronic file to sent to debt collector, I have never brought any of their newspapers since. I found a real nice muesli cake from a lunch bar after a few weeks the price went up, so I stopped going to that lunch bar for a few weeks, when I went back the price had dropped back were it was, so I started to buy it again, then they got smaller. Some customer loyalty scheme they have, so now I dont go to that lunch bar anymore. One day I went to the dairy just up the road, and was short changed by 20 cents, I said “just a minute this item is 20 cents cheaper”, he said “no it is not”, as I walked out the door, I looked at the price again, I said “well you better change your price so it is correct” he gave me 20 cents, A few weeks later I saw the owner in the shop as I walked passed, I went in and told him what had happened, he offered me something for free, I said no and refused to take it, I have never been back there again. As you can guess by now there are a lot of lunch bars I dont go to anymore, lets try out a new one with a cake, this one taste good until I found a big stone in it, the next day the side of my tooth broke, it seems now bakers dont sift the flour anymore. Now I can not afford cakes anymore I need the money for my dentist. I used to buy a big chocolate bar [trade name, not given] until it was changed to two small chocolate bars in the same rapper, who wants to buy two small chocolate bars in a packet and make a pig of yourself why not just get one small chocolate bar. One small chocolate bar not the same as the big one, forget it, the body does not need it anyway. I rented a car and made notes on all the details so I could use it more and would not go overboard with the charges next time I rented it, the car rental company added another 20 Km on to what distance I used and charged me. I suspect it was a fiddle with the fringe benefit tax, never mind there are lots of other car rental companies around just like lunch bars. I thought I would try out a $9 salad for dinner like one or twice a week, then one day it went up 11.1%. Have I missed something here? My pay never went up 11.1%, so now I dont buy that salad anymore. I thought I would try out a new lunch bar and went for a scone, as I walked up the road I realized 50 cents was missing from my ten dollar change, when I went back they said something like “you have come back for the 50 cents” that lunch bar has missed out a lot of profit from me. Shopping for Zone four DVD seems to be a wise choice, right, after all New Zealand is Zone four, and all you have to do is walk down the road to buy your DVD. WRONG, I used to buy Zone four locally but it seems to be all the good zone four entertainment has gone, now zone four DVD in the shops are worse than free to air TV. It has got so bad I just can not be bothered browsing the local rubbish. Go to Amazon web site you will see a whole new choice of entertainment in Zone one and two. I dont know what it is, but just about all the lunch shops I go to put mayonnaise, dressing whatever in the sandwiches they make. I get sick of waiting everyday for a sandwich to be made up that does not have dressing in it, I think dressing was invented buy cooks who can not cook and they need something to hide their cooking mistakes. I love putting black pepper on my sandwiches but I dont expect every lunch bar in the country to load every sandwiches up with black pepper, I went to the supermarket and got my own container of black pepper. Honestly I love these people who do a big smelly dump in the bog house, then shut the door to “lock in” the rotten oder longer, Doesn't this just make you feel so happy you don't have a cold when you need to use the toilet urgently. I have a student loan I was thinking one day, why dont I pay more on my weekly student loan repayments, I am sure the minister of finance would be over the moon if more people could repay their loan off quicker. So I went to the company pay clerk and ask if I could pay more, it turned out I have to apply to the Inland Revenue for a special tax code and what happens if some months later if you needed the money for one reason or another, is it going to be some right drama going back to the original weekly payments? I dont get it when I get a pay increase, IRD finds out and you have pay more tax, so in the four years or so since I decided to pay off my student loan early I have lost interest in the whole idea “why make life easy when you can make it hard”. On 1st October 2010 Goods & Services Tax (GST) went from 12.5% to 15%, up 2.2%. On that date I went to a small dairy, they must have been though the whole shop and put every price up by a minimum 10 cents, and added on 20 cents if the increase was just over the 10 cent. So on two items that came to $7.50 should of gone up to $7.5*1.022 = $7.665, I paid a extra 30 cent that should not of been more than 20 cents increase. Never mind there are other shops that don't rip off their customers I will go there. This file is at http://www.dubdubdub.net.nz/motley/oh_dear.txt
